What is VCCS?

The Virtual Centre for Child Safety (VCCS) is an initiative of the Government of Punjab to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Pakistan. It was launched by CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on 26 July 2024. VCCS operates 24/7 to protect vulnerable individuals, reunite lost children, and provide immediate support in collaboration with the Punjab Police, Child Protection Bureau, Edhi Homes and various other departments.

We Handle

The cases of Lost and Found children, Senior citizens, Persons with disabilities, Child abuse, Kidnapping and Digital child abuse.

Mission

To protect every child, special person and senior citizens against all forms of vulnerabilities.

What We Do

Case Handling

We receive the cases of lost individuals and children. Each case is followed up with dedication until loved ones are reunited.

Support & Care

We use the state-of-the-art technology facial recognition, digital record matching and whereabouts to verify their identities.

Reunification

Our field team conducts interviews and makes dedicated efforts in reunification to ensure that every lost individual safely returns to their family.

In just one year, Mera Pyara - Virtual Centre for Child Safety received around 112,841 cases related to lost children, senior citizens, and persons with special needs. We are proud to say that more than 57,588 cases were resolved, and the respective lost individuals were reunited with their families.
