After two decades of separation, the joy in Ishrat’s eyes and her radiant smile returned at last. Today, she is finally reunited with her loved ones.

The Mera Pyara team at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has worked tirelessly to bring countless lost children back to their families. Ishrat’s story, however, is truly exceptional, a deeply moving journey that highlights the dedication and human touch behind Pakistan’s largest child safety center.

Separated from her family 20 years ago, Ishrat had been living in the Edhi Center in Lahore. Alhamdulillah, thanks to the Edhi Foundation, she was cared for and protected over the years.

The Mera Pyara team conducted multiple interviews with Ishrat to gather clues. She could only remember two things: her name, Ishrat, and a place called “Kaleki” from her childhood. She also mentioned that her mother had remarried and their home was near a canal.

These details, though small, became invaluable leads for the Mera Pyara team. With a combination of social media campaigns and field searches, the team explored every possible location, from Hafizabad to Sialkot, but initially found no trace.

However, the team never gave up. By the grace of Allah, a miracle happened. Ishrat’s brother, from Mari Thakran Di, Kamonki, Gujranwala, saw the video of Ishrat on the official Mera Pyara page and immediately recognized his long-lost sister.

The reunion was filled with tears, trembling voices, and emotions that words cannot describe. After 20 years, Ishrat is finally returning home. You can watch the complete reunification video on Mera Pyara YouTube Channel

This story is a powerful reminder that across Pakistan, hundreds of children in orphanages and shelters, as well as elderly individuals with mental disabilities, are still waiting to reunite with their families.

At Mera Pyara, Pakistan’s largest child safety center, we remain committed to our mission. By the grace of Allah, we will continue to reunite every lost child with their loved ones.

Because Mera Pyara is not just a program, it is a journey to bring every lost child back home.
