After six long years of separation, a missing child has finally been reunited with his family, a moment made possible through the grace of Allah Almighty and the dedicated efforts of the Mera Pyara – Virtual Center for Child Safety, working under the Punjab Safe Cities Authority.

Irfan, a young child, was found wandering in Islamabad under unknown circumstances. At the time of recovery, he was unable to communicate his name, home address, or any details about his family. With no identifying information available, it became extremely difficult to trace his origins.

For his safety and care, he was shifted to Edhi Home Islamabad, and later transferred to Edhi Home Multan, where he continued to live among other vulnerable and unidentified children.

Back home, Irfan’s family was going through years of distress and uncertainty. Like many families of missing children, they continued their search with hope, prayers, and unwavering faith that one day their child would return.

The turning point in this case came when the Mera Pyara Multan team visited Edhi Home Multan as part of its proactive outreach efforts. The team conducted a brief interview with Irfan and carefully documented the limited details he could share. His short interview video was then uploaded on Mera Pyara’s official social media platforms, including its Facebook page, and further boosted to reach a wider audience across regions.

As the video reached different regions, it eventually appeared before Irfan’s family. The moment his mother saw the video, she immediately recognized her son and confirmed that he was Irfan from Gujranwala.

Following this breakthrough, the family was guided to visit Edhi Home Multan. A thorough verification process was carried out, including legal documentation and court proceedings. After all requirements were fulfilled, Irfan was officially handed over to his family.

The reunion was deeply emotional, after six years of separation, a mother finally held her child again. It was a moment filled with tears, relief, and gratitude. A powerful reminder that hope, when supported by the right efforts, can bring families back together. You can watch the complete reunion video on Mera Pyara’s official Facebook page.

Mera Pyara continues its mission to reconnect lost children with their families, ensuring that every child finds their way back home.
