Alhamdulillah, after two decades of separation, a special person, Allah Noor, has finally been reunited with his family. An emotional and unforgettable moment made possible through the dedicated efforts of Mera Pyara - Virtual Center for Child Safety, working under the vision of Punjab Safe Cities Authority.

Allah Noor, son of Muhammad Lateef, had remained missing for nearly 20 years. As a mentally unstable and vulnerable individual, he had been separated from his loved ones for a long time, while his family continued to live with uncertainty, grief, and unanswered questions. Despite the passing years, hope for his safe return never completely faded.

During this difficult period, Allah Noor remained away from his family, unable to reconnect with them or share sufficient information that could help trace his relatives.

When the case came under the attention of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, the Mera Pyara team initiated efforts to identify him and locate his family. As part of its nationwide mission to reunite lost and unidentified individuals with their loved ones, the team conducted a brief interview of Allah Noor and created a video profile. This interview was shared through Mera Pyara’s official social media platforms so that communities and families across the country might help identify him.

This effort became the turning point in the case.

Allah Noor’s elder brother, Yousuf, a resident of Muslim Pura Mohalla, Kotli Behram, Sialkot, came across the video online and immediately recognized him. Overwhelmed with emotion, he contacted the Mera Pyara helpline and confirmed that the person in the video was his long-lost brother, Allah Noor.

Following this development, the Mera Pyara team initiated a complete verification process. Family details and relevant information were carefully reviewed to ensure accurate identification. After all legal and verification procedures were completed, the family was guided to report to Edhi Village, Super Highway Karachi, where the long-awaited reunion finally took place.

After 20 painful years, Allah Noor was reunited with his family, a deeply emotional moment filled with tears, relief, and gratitude as loved ones embraced again after decades of separation.

Such impactful reunification stories reflect the real mission and effectiveness of Mera Pyara. Due to its continuous efforts and meaningful outcomes, the initiative has gained global recognition and was selected among the Top 20 E-Government initiatives at the WSIS Forum 2026.

Mera Pyara continues to work tirelessly so that every missing person can safely return home.
