Lost Since 2021, Ayesha Reunification With Family After 5 Years

After five years of painful separation, a missing woman has finally been reunited with her family, a moment made possible through the grace of Allah Almighty and the dedicated efforts of the Mera Pyara – Virtual Center for Child Safety, working under the Punjab Safe Cities Authority.

In March 2021, a woman later identified as Ayesha went missing under unknown circumstances. She was eventually found in the area of Basti Malook, District Multan. With no immediate information available about her identity or family, she was shifted to Edhi Home Multan to ensure her safety, care, and well-being.

During her time at the shelter, her identity remained unknown, and like many such cases, she was living away from her loved ones while her family continued to search for her with hope and uncertainty.

The turning point came with the intervention of the Mera Pyara Multan team. With a structured and technology-driven approach, the team initiated a tracing process to identify the woman and reconnect her with her family.

It is important to note that Mera Pyara was officially initiated in July 2024. Before this, no centralized and proactive system existed at this scale to trace and reunite unidentified individuals. Under its mission to ensure that no unidentified (lawaris) individual remains disconnected from their family, Mera Pyara teams actively visit shelter homes, collect and digitize records, and build a centralized database. Through awareness and coordination, any unidentified individual found is added to this system, and reunification efforts begin immediately.

In this case, the team collected her fingerprints and conducted biometric verification through relevant databases. This process led to a breakthrough, her family was successfully traced.

Her relatives identified her as Ayesha, who had been missing since March 2021. Upon confirmation, her brother, Muhammad Ramzan, arrived at Edhi Home Multan to meet her.

The reunion was deeply emotional, after five long years of separation, a family was finally made whole again. What once seemed uncertain had turned into a moment of relief, gratitude, and renewed connection. You can also watch the complete reunification video on official facebook.

Mera Pyara continues to work with the mission that every missing and vulnerable individual is safely reunited with their loved ones. Through technology, compassion, and coordinated efforts, countless lives are being restored every day.
